So what is the Troutman Ruritan Club? Ruritan is a place where families or individuals can serve their community, make lasting relationships, and have a lot of fun!
Club members select local projects to help others. Whether it's providing supplies and backpacks for students in Troutman schools, providing meals for families at Thanksgiving, passing out candy at Trails and Treats, buying gifts for families in need at Christmas, assisting in community events, donating to local first responders, helping the elderly with home repairs or a cheerful visit, collecting and sending supplies to western NC in the Hurricane Helene aftermath, distributing chicken dinners to WNC volunteers and residents, or refurbishing rooms at the local domestic violence shelter, Ruritan members are ready and willing to be good neighbors! All service efforts and funds raised stay in the town of Troutman.
Formed in June of 2022, the Troutman Ruritan is a growing club welcoming members from ages 1 to 101! The club is a great way for newcomers, retirees, families, business owners and their staffs, and others to get involved in the community. The best way to keep our town the friendly place we all know and love is through serving the community with our neighbors!
The club meets on the first Monday of the month at our new home at Lifespan ( 147 Iredell Avenue) to plan its community efforts. Participants from outside of Troutman town limits are also welcome to join!
